Thank you to the trees.
Sitting with the approaching first of June date, I honestly have to say… “say what?! Where have the months gone?”
As I’ve been sitting with the common themes and conversations coming through lately, it’s been really interesting to notice how many people are dealing with health challenges right now. And honestly, I think it’s time we start paying attention.
The body is always speaking to us.
It gives us gentle nudges first… and if we ignore them long enough, sometimes bigger issues arrive to get our attention.
So this is your reminder… take notice of your body. Listen to it. Support it. And if something keeps showing up, explore it deeper.
I always encourage people to look into the spiritual meaning behind what they are experiencing physically as well. The Secret Language of Your Body by Inna Segal is a beautiful resource for this.
And then… do the work around it.
Immediately.
Don’t wait.
You have more power within you than you realise when it comes to healing yourself, alongside medical support where needed, of course. But please, do not doubt your abilities. They are there. We all have them.
Something I’d like to speak to, is one thing that always brings me back to myself, which is nature.
The other day I was walking out in our big backyard that we’re lucky enough to enjoy, on Lake Hume. Our area is usually completely deserted and perfect for exploring.
While walking, I came across the most incredible tree. It had survived a fire and what was left was almost like a shell. Part of the trunk still standing, open enough to stand inside and face outward into nature.
I’ve included a photo of it because honestly… the energy it carried was incredible.
I stood inside that tree and meditated for quite a while.
The peace, calm and the pure wisdom it shared was palpable. It honestly felt like time stood still for a moment. I stayed there just absorbing its energy and allowing myself to soften into it.
And the interesting thing was how much it shifted the rest of my day.
It helped me begin the day with an open heart and with that feeling of flow that is so important, especially when I have a full day of readings ahead.
I handed over my worries, my concerns, the things I’d been carrying.
Nature has a beautiful way of holding things for us when we allow it to.
This is such a powerful exercise if your mind feels busy or overwhelmed. Go sit with the trees. Leave the concerns there for a while. Over the coming weeks you may notice things quietly beginning to resolve themselves, because that is one of the gifts nature offers us. We are gifted perspective, grounding and space for solutions to arrive.
And when they do, say a quiet thank you to the trees.
I think it was from a Warrick Schiller podcast that I first heard trees referred to as “the tall standing ones” and I absolutely loved that.
And something I’ve only realised more recently is that even the trees that are no longer alive still carry energy too. That surprised me, because I had always gravitated towards the living trees. But the dead ones… they hold wisdom as well. Their energy is different, but still incredibly powerful.
So here’s to nature and all of its gifts.
If you are feeling stuck, go to the trees.
They truly are a blessing.
Many thanks for reading,
